Active COVID-19 caseload down to one

Lambton Public Health is reporting two more recoveries from COVID-19, dropping the number of active cases to one.

On its website Sunday night, the local health agency reported that 321 of the 347 confirmed cases have been deemed resolved.

The death toll stands at 25, unchanged since June 6.

Across Ontario Sunday, 566 new infections of the virus were reported including seven deaths.

In its weekly update Friday, October 2, Bluewater Health reported there are no COVID-positive patients in hospital and 31 with tests pending including pre-surgical screening.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
