Bruce Telecom holding food drive in Chesley

Bruce Telecom aims to "Fill the Van for Good" tomorrow in Chesley.

The Chesley Grocery Store will host the food drive on Wednesday, October 7th, where residents and shoppers are being asked to fill the Bruce Telecom van full of non-perishable food items or hygiene products to help those less fortunate as Thanksgiving weekend approaches. It is estimated that 1 in 7 Canadians do not have the food they need to help themselves and their families thrive. With COVID-19, it is estimated that demand for food relief has increased 20 to 40 per cent since March, with as many as 14.6 per cent of Canadians facing food concerns in their homes.

Donations will be accepted during store hours, from 8 am until 6:30 p.m.
