Community Foundation Grey Bruce supplying funding for local charities

Community Foundation Grey Bruce is providing some funding for local charities hit hard by COVID-19.

The funding is part of an ongoing partnership with Community Foundations of Canada, United Way Centraide Canada and the Canadian Red Cross. Community Foundations Grey Bruce will be giving $77,000 to local charities in the area, and the money is being provided through the federal government's 350 million dollar Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF). This vast national effort is a second round of funding that aims to support vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
