Sarnia-Lambton reports one week with no new COVID cases

The local COVID-19 caseload is holding steady.

Lambton Public Health in its update Thursday night reporting no active cases of the virus locally.

Since the pandemic started there have been 347 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton, of which 322 have been deemed recovered. The death toll stands at 25.

Bluewater Health still reporting one positive patient, a non-resident, in hospital.

Ontario Thursday reported a new daily high of infections, 797.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
