COVID-19 caseload holding steady

There's been no change to the local COVID-19 caseload.

Lambton Public Health reported no new confirmed or resolved cases among local residents in its update Friday night.

The local health agency said there are zero active cases for the fourth day in a row.

Since the start of the pandemic there have been 347 confirmed cases in Sarnia-Lambton, of which 322 have been deemed resolved. The death toll stands at 25.

Bluewater Health said a non-resident who was admitted to the hospital Monday night with the virus is still in hospital.

Ontario reported 939 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, a new daily record.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
