COVID caseload up one in Sarnia-Lambton

The local COVID-19 caseload has gone up over the past 24 hours.

Lambton Public Health is reporting one more confirmed case of the virus, resulting in two active cases.

Details about the new case, including age group or geographic zone are not yet known.

The local health agency says 323 of the 350 confirmed cases have been deemed resolved, and the death toll stands at 25.

Bluewater Health reports one patient in hospital with the virus and 15 with tests pending including pre-surgical screening.

The COVID-positive patient is a non-resident who remains in ICU.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
