Elderly Wallaceburg man killed in two-vehicle crash

An elderly Wallaceburg man has died following a two-vehicle crash in St. Clair Township Wednesday.

Lambton OPP, EMS and St. Clair Township Fire responded to the intersection of Petrolia Line and Kimball Road at around 2:35 p.m.

One driver was rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead.

Police have identified the driver as 92-year-old Ernie Miller.

OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigators were called in and the intersection was closed for several hours.

Further information has not been released.

Lambton County Council is to consider building a roundabout at Petrolia Line and Kimball Road in its 2021 budget deliberations. The intersection was also the site of a fatal crash in early May.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
