Another case of COVID-19 confirmed at Sarnia school

Lambton Public Health has confirmed a second case of COVID-19 at a Sarnia high school.

The health unit reported the positive case at Northern Collegiate Institute & Vocational School on its website Thursday evening. Another positive case was also reported at Northern Collegiate on October 15, however, it is unknown if the two cases are connected.

"At this time, Lambton Public Health does not feel there is any impact to the school, nor are they dismissing any students or staff," the health unit said on its website.

In a letter to parents, the health unit said it's working with the school community to contact any students and staff who may have been in contact with the virus. Only those who have been in close contact will be notified.

The school board will not release details about confirmed cases due to privacy concerns.

The health unit also reported positive COVID-19 cases last week at Bright’s Grove Public School and Colonel Cameron Public School in Corunna.
