New COVID-19 cases reported in Midwestern Ontario Monday

A few new cases of the novel coronavirus were confirmed in Midwestern Ontario Monday.

The Grey Bruce Public health Unit reported one new case of COVID-19 confirmed through lab testing in the past 24 hours. It's located in South Bruce Peninsula. There is also one preliminary positive case. There are seven active cases. Since October 21, there have been eight cases reported in South Bruce Peninsula.

Huron Perth Public Health reported one active case of COVID-19 Monday, which is a new case out of Perth East.

Public Health in Wellington County reported five new cases and five active cases. In all, the Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health department reported 33 new cases and 70 active cases Monday.

There are no facility outbreaks in midwestern Ontario.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
