Active COVID cases down to one in Sarnia-Lambton

The local active COVID-19 caseload has dropped to one over the past 24 hours.

On its website Wednesday night, Lambton Public Health reported two more cases have been deemed resolved, up to 343.

No new cases have been reported since Sunday sitting at 369, and the death toll stands at 25.

Lambton Public Health continues to monitor an outbreak at Twin Lakes Terrace Long Term Care Home in Sarnia, which was declared on October 15 after two staff members had tested positive for COVID.

As of Saturday, October 24 the local health agency had received results from 47,367 tests, of which less than one per cent have been positive for the virus.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
