Subjects of warrants arrested

Chatham-Kent police say a 40-year-old man who was wanted on charges of sexual assault, uttering threats, and failing to attend court has been arrested. The 40-year-old man was taken into custody in Wallaceburg and brought to CKPS headquarters in Chatham.

A 37-year-old man who was wanted on break and enter, mischief, and assault charges has also been taken into custody. Police say he was arrested in the area of McNaughton Avenue. He is being held in advance of a bail hearing.

Overdose leads to charges

Chatham-Kent police say a woman was arrested after she was with someone she was not supposed to be.

Police say they were called to the area of Mary Street for reports of an overdose. A man was given Narcan and regained consciousness. A 28-year-old woman from Chatham was present at the time despite her being on conditions not to associate with the man.

She was arrested and taken to CKPS headquarters and held for bail.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
