High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A third COVID-19 patient has been admitted to hospital in Sarnia.
<a href="https://www.bluewaterhealth.ca/covid-19-novel-coronavirus-information-frequently-asked-questions">Bluewater Health</a> Communications Chief Julia Oosterman said a 62-year-old woman was recently admitted from her home.
None of the three patients are in ICU at this time.
<a href="https://lambtonpublichealth.ca/2019-novel-coronavirus/summary-of-covid-19-cases-in-lambton-county/">Lambton Public Health</a> reported four active cases of the virus on its website Monday night.
An outbreak continues at Fiddick's Retirement Home in Petrolia where one resident tested positive late last week, and was transferred to Bluewater Health.
Since March 25, there's been 373 confirmed cases, 344 recoveries and 25 related deaths.
