Chatham Goodfellows honour long-time volunteers

The Chatham Goodfellows couldn't get together in person for this year's Annual General Meeting, but that didn't stop them from taking some time to recognize their dedicated volunteers.

During their abbreviated meeting, which was held virtually on Thursday, November 5, the Goodfellows named Jessica and Chris Osborne the 2020 Mrs. and Mr. Goodfellow.

Jessica started volunteering with the Chatham Goodfellows as a child when she would go with her grandmother Mary to help organize and pack toys. Now, she organizes multiple porchlight teams each year, and since joining the board, takes time off work to organize the volunteers for food packing and delivery.

Jessica's husband Chris has been involved with the Goodfellows for over 22 years. He also leads a team on porchlight night, packs and delivers toys and food, and volunteers for street sales.

The Goodfellows did not hand out a President's Award, Lifetime Achievement Award or certificates of appreciation this year.

Online applications for food and toy hampers are now being accepted online at www.chathamgoodfellows.ca. You can also register by calling 519-354-1146, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
