New case, recovery added to local COVID figures

Lambton Public Health is reporting one more confirmed case and one more recovered case of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

In its daily update Tuesday morning, the health unit reported 381 confirmed cases, 347 resolved cases and 25 deaths, leaving nine active cases.

The outbreak at Fiddick’s Retirement Home in Petrolia remains in effect after one resident tested positive late last month.

One case has been linked to Riverview Central School in Port Lambton. The Lambton Kent District School Board said the elementary school remains open.

Bluewater Health is now reporting two positive patients in hospital, down from three Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
