The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sarnia-Lambton has dropped to seven from nine.
Lambton Public Health reported Thursday morning that another case has been resolved and an outbreak at Petrolia's Fiddick's Retirement Home, where one resident tested positive late last month, has ended.
Bluewater Health said one COVID patient has been released from hospital leaving just one positive patient still admitted.
The number of confirmed cases has also gone down, from 381 to 380. Health officials had previously reported that there was one false-positive.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Sudit Ranade said Sarnia-Lambton remains in the "green" or prevent category under the province's new framework.
While local numbers have been relatively stable, we have to be wary of what's happening around us.
"It's nice to look at the numbers and say oh we're low and it's ok but when you look at the numbers around us--it's almost inevitable that there are cases going on in the county that we don't know about, that we either haven't recorded, whose positive results hasn't come in to us or who have never been tested," said Ranade. "I think we just need to be very careful as we move through these rising cases everywhere and say it's not done. Don't look at our numbers and say everything is good and we're fine to do whatever we want, because that's how you get more cases of [the] disease."
The Lambton Kent District School Board is still reporting one case linked to Riverview Central School in Port Lambton but the school remains open.
