Local COVID tests surpass 50,000

Over 50,000 COVID-19 tests have been done locally.

On its website, Lambton Public Health reported that as of Saturday, November 7 the local health agency had received results from 51,383 tests.

Less than 0.75 per cent have been positive for the virus.

As of Wednesday, there were nine active cases in Sarnia-Lambton.

There's one positive patient in hospital according to Bluewater Health.

To date, the hospital has conducted 5,078 tests, of which 68 have been positive.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
