More floats needed for Sarnia's drive-by Santa Claus parade

The Sarnia Kinsmen Club is reminding the community that it's still accepting float registrations for this year's modified Santa Claus parade.

The drive-by event is being held in the Lambton College parking lot after the traditional parade was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Club spokesman Bob Marks said they're still in need of seven to eight more floats to make the event a strong one.

He said they prefer the displays be on a flatbed or trailer rather than single-vehicle entries.

You can go to www.sarniakinsmen.ca/santa-claus-parade for more information and to register.

Forms can also be printed off and brought into Sarnia City Hall or the Tourism Sarnia-Lambton building.

The parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 5 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The theme of this year’s event is “Remember our food banks this Christmas”.
