UPDATE: Advisories issued ahead of snowfall

Most weather advisories issued across southwestern Ontario over the weekend have ended.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement on Saturday for London, Middlesex County, Elgin County, Oxford County, Huron County, and Perth County. The statements were upgraded on Sunday to snowfall warnings as the national weather agency called for up to 20 cm of snow through to Sunday evening.

Environment Canda ended the weather advisory for Strathroy, Western Middlesex, St. Thomas, and Elgin County around 8 p.m. on Sunday. The snowfall warnings later ended for London, Eastern Middlesex, Woodstock, and Oxford County shortly after 8:30 p.m.

A travel advisory was issued for Chatham-Kent on Sunday but it ended shortly after 5:30 p.m.

A snowfall warning remains in effect for Stratford as well as Huron and Perth counties.

The national weather agency said Sunday's snowfall was the result of a Colorado Low that tracked from Ohio towards the St. Lawrence River.
