Another COVID-19 case confirmed at UofW

Another person has tested positive for COVID-19 at the University of Windsor campus.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit confirmed the positive on-campus case on Monday and working to notify close contacts.

"The member of the campus community is self-isolating and all appropriate protocols and cleaning measures have been taken," the university said in a news release.

The university said the latest case is unrelated to others that have been confirmed on-campus and there is no additional risk to the campus community at this time. The majority of classes are being conducted online through the university's remote learning model.

Another individual tested positive for the novel coronavirus last week, while five students were infected following an unauthorized party at a student residence on Halloween.
