Goderich Mayor urges for calm following positive COVID-19 test at local school

The Mayor of Goderich is urging calm following confirmation of a positive case of COVID-19 at Goderich District Collegiate Institute.

In a release, John Grace says he and Senior Management staff are in constant communication with community partners at G-D-C-I, as well as Huron-Perth Public Health.

Grace says "This is a wake up call and a reminder that we are still vulnerable to this pandemic".

He finished the note by saying that there is community spread in Huron County, and that residents "need to stay vigilant, wash our hands, wear our masks, keep our distance and be mindful of our space".
