Ten new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Wellington County Friday.

Public Health officials added ten new cases of COVID-19 in Wellington County for a total of 60 active cases. One person is in hospital. There have been five fatalities.

In Wellington County, there are outbreak protocols in place at Birmingham retirement Community in Mount Forest, Royal Terrace in Palmerston, and Caressant Care in Arthur. All of those facilities had one staff member who tested positive.

Across the Wellington Dufferin Guelph region, there were 23 new cases, for a total of 161 active cases.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
