19 additional COVID-19 cases in London-area

London-Middlesex reported 19 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.

The latest cases bring the regional case count to 1,538.

Fourteen additional recoveries were also reported on Sunday. So far, 1,368 individuals in the London-area have recovered from the virus while 66 people have died from the virus in the region since the pandemic began.

Southwestern Public Health, the health unit covering St. Thomas, Woodstock and Elgin and Oxford counties, reported 12 new cases on Sunday with the case count now sitting at 549.

Elsewhere, Ontario’s daily case count was 1,708 with 1,443 new recoveries.

According to Health Minister Christine Elliot, 501 of Sunday's cases were in Peel, 463 in Toronto and 185 in York region.
