COVID-19 case confirmed at London high school

A positive case of COVID-19 has been identified by the Middlesex-London Health Unit at a London school.

The case was confirmed by the London District Catholic School Board at John Paul II Catholic Secondary School

Parents, guardians and staff within the school community have been notified of the cases. The school will stay open and school buses will continue to operate.

"The Middlesex-London Health Unit is currently investigating the case and is in the process of identifying the individual’s close contacts," the  London District Catholic School Board said in a media release. "The Middlesex-London Health Unit will provide advice and support to close contacts in navigating this situation."

Only students and staff who are identified as close contacts will be contacted by the health unit. Staff at John Paul II will work with students and families to ensure learning continues for those who are self-isolating at home.
