As active COVID cases are tracked, high risk contact increases

As the active cases of COVID-19 rise, so do the numbers of high risk contacts in the area.

Eight new cases were reported in Grey and Bruce late Sunday, three in Grey Highlands, 2 in Huron-Kinloss and one each in Arran-Elderslie, West Grey and Southgate. And with the now 49 active cases, the health unit says there are 206 high risk contacts.

There is one outbreak, at Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home in Lion's Head.

In Huron and Perth, there are 44 active cases. And outbreaks continue at Cedarcroft retirement home in Stratford as well as two long term care homes, Spruce Lodge in Stratford and Knollcrest Lodge in Perth East. And Northside Christian School in North Perth is still under an outbreak.

In Wellington County there are 60 active cases.
