Wallaceburg Rotary Club supports CK Hospice

The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation is getting a funding boost thanks to the Rotary Club of Wallaceburg.

The Rotary Club recently donated $10,000 to the foundation.

The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation is responsible for the fundraising activities needed to support Chatham-Kent Hospice, which provides quality end-of-life care for Chatham-Kent residents.

This is not the first time the club has lent a financial hand to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. During construction of the hospice, the Rotary Club of Wallaceburg made a donation as part of a combined donation from Rotary Clubs across Chatham-Kent.

“Thank you to the Wallaceburg Rotarians for their support once again. This donation will be used to provide our hospice families with a peaceful environment to say goodbye, as well as help families stay in touch especially during this pandemic,” said Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation Executive Director Jodi Maroney.

The most recent donation brings the Rotary Club of Wallaceburg's total support for the Hospice Foundation to over $18,000. The foundation requires $108,000 in donations each month to support the operating needs of the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
