New COVID case, recovery added to local figures

The active COVID-19 caseload in Sarnia-Lambton is holding steady at 14.

In its daily update, Lambton Public Health reported one new case for a total of 413, with 374 having recovered, an increase of one.

The death toll has been unchanged at 25 since early June.

There are no outbreaks currently.

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board updated its COVID-19 advisory page this morning. Three student cases previously linked to St. Patrick's High School have been removed and are presumed to be resolved.

Bluewater Health still has one positive patient in hospital.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
