Active COVID case count up by two in Sarnia-Lambton

Lambton Public Health reported four more confirmed cases of COVID-19 Thursday, as well as two more recoveries.

Since March 25, the local health unit says 376 of the 417 confirmed cases have been deemed resolved.

There are currently 16 known active cases of the virus and no outbreaks in the community.

Bluewater Health still has one positive patient in hospital.

Wednesday, the Lambton-Kent District School Board updated its COVID-19 advisory page to show two confirmed cases among the student population at Northern Collegiate Institute and Vocational School.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
