Friday's COVID-19 update for Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reported five new cases of COVID-19 confirmed Friday. They are located in Grey Highlands , Huron Kinloss, Meaford, and Blue Mountains. There are 31 active cases, and eight probable cases. There are no hospitalizations.

Huron Perth Public Health added nine new cases of COVID-19 to the active caseload Friday. Four of the cases are in Stratford, one in West Perth, one in Perth East, and three in North Perth. Five people are in hospital.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public health reported eight new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Wellington Friday. There are 26 active cases in Wellington, and one hospitalization.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
