Warrant arrests

Chatham-Kent police were able to nab two people so far this weekend in Chatham who were wanted on warrants.

On Friday, around 1:30 p.m., officers located a 28-year-old man who was wanted on outstanding breach warrants.

Then, shortly after midnight on Saturday, police spotted a 34-year-old woman who was currently wanted for breach of probation.

Both individuals were transported to police headquarters and eventually released with a future court date.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
