Local COVID-19 recoveries up by two

Lambton Public Health is reporting two more recovered cases of COVID-19.

In its daily update Monday, the local health agency reported 382 of the 427 confirmed cases have been deemed resolved, dropping the number of active cases to 20.

The death toll stands at 25, unchanged since June 6.

The local health agency is monitoring one workplace outbreak involving two positive cases of the virus. Shell Canada confirmed on Saturday an outbreak at the Corunna plant.

The Lambton Kent District School Board is still reporting two student cases at Northern High School. The school is open.

There are no COVID-positive patients in hospital according to Bluewater Health.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
