New COVID-19 cases in the rise in Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reported four new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, one each in Kincardine, Meaford, Grey Highlands and Hanover.

There are 26 active and 6 probable cases, which are associated with 199 high risk contacts. Two people are in hospital.

Another 17 cases of COVID-19 were added in Huron Perth Tuesday. Seven of the new cases are in Stratford, one in West Perth, three in Perth East, three in North Perth, three in South Huron and one in Howick. Public health reports 54 active cases. Three people are in hospital

Public Health officials in Wellington County added four new cases, for a total of 27 active cases. Two people are in hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
