New COVID-19 cases added in Midwestern Ontario

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added another 43 cases of COVID-19 to the positive list today, for a total of 251 active cases. The region was moved into the red zone of public health restrictions which means non essential businesses need to offer delivery or curbside pick up. Schools are open.  Ten of those new cases were located in Wellington County, which brings the number of active cases to 30 in Wellington.  Two Wellington County residents are in hospital.

Seven new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours By Huron Perth Public Health. One case was found in Goderich, four in North Perth, two in Stratford, two in West Perth and one in Perth East. There are 31 active cases, and three cases were referred to other health units. Three people are in hospital with COVID-19. COVID-19 outbreaks are unchanged from yesterday in Huron Perth.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added three new cases of COVID-19 to the positive list today, one each in Owen Sound, Huron Kinloss and Kincardine. Five people are in hospital. And a new outbreak is being reported at Lee Manor Long-Term Care Facility in Owen Sound to address a single case of COVID-19 associated with a staff member.  There are 29 active cases, and five active probable cases. They are associated with 204 high risk contacts.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
