Tuesday's COVID-19 situation in Midwestern Ontario

New cases of COVID-19 were added in Midwestern Ontario again Tuesday.

The Huron Perth Public Health added 11 new cases, for a total of 55 active cases. Five of the new cases are in North Huron, two in North Perth, and one each in Bluewater, Perth East, Howick and Stratford. Four people are in hospital

Public Health officials in Wellington County added two new cases, and report a total of 39 active cases. One person is hospitalized.

The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit added two new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, one in Meaford, and one in Blue Mountains. There are 31 active and six probable cases. There are 231 high risk contacts, and four hospitalizations.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
