Friday sees more COVID cases confirmed in Midwestern Ontario

Huron Perth Public Health added six new cases of COVID-19 to the active list Friday. One cases is in South Huron, two in North Perth, and three in Perth East.  There are 62 active cases and 453 people are currently in isolation. Hospital outbreaks continue in Listowel and Stratford, as does the Cedarcroft retirement home outbreak in Stratford. Three people are in hospital. Four healthcare workers are currently sick with COVID-19.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported three new cases of COVID-19 Friday in West Grey, South Bruce and Meaford There are 29 active cases, six probable cases, and 200 high risk contacts. Four people are in hospital. The outbreak continues at Lee Manor Long Term Care in Owen Sound.

Public health in Wellington County added four new cases today and has 47 active cases. Three people are hospitalized. Across the Wellington Dufferin Guelph public health region, there were 37 new cases. There are 266 active and 18 hospitalizations.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
