COVID cases up 19 in Sarnia-Lambton

Lambton Public Health reported another spike in new COVID-19 cases Tuesday.

In its daily update, the local health agency reported the number of confirmed cases is now at 692, up 19 from Monday.

There's been 10 more recoveries, now at 512 and the death toll remains unchanged at 28.

That pushes the number of active cases up by nine to 152.

The health unit continues to monitor 12 outbreaks in the community, including one at Sarnia's Vision Nursing Home which was declared on Sunday after one resident tested positive for the virus.

Bluewater Health is reporting four positive patients in hospital, that's up from three on Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
