TV and radio host Larry King dead at 87

Larry King has passed away at the age of 87.

According to a post on his official Twitter page, the veteran broadcast icon died on Saturday morning in Los Angeles.

King's career in television and radio spanned over six decades and has included thousands of interviews with some of the most well-known names in the world.

From 1985 to 2010, King hosted Larry King Live on CNN. He then went on to host Larry King Now on Hulu and the weekly political talk show Politicking with Larry King.

King's accolades include inductions into the National Radio Hall of Fame and the Broadcasters' Hall of Fame.

The statement did not provide a cause of death however according to entertainment website TMZ, King was diagnosed with COVID-19 over the Christmas holidays and was hospitalized as a result.
