New COVID-19 cases added in Wellington County

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added 13 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, and 13 people are in hospital. In all there are 283 active cases across the region, 49 of them in Wellington County. Four of the new cases were in Wellington County, where three people are hospitalized.

The outbreak has contributed to the deaths of 80 people in Wellington Dufferin Guelph, 20 of them in Wellington.

Outbreaks continue at Caressant Care Long Term Care in Arthur, Wellington Terrace in Fergus and at Palmerston hospital. In all there are nine active outbreaks across the public health jurisdiction, and those outbreaks have lead to the deaths of 17 people, 13 of them in Wellington.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
