Case count and outbreak situation expected to be updated Monday

Huron Perth Public Health is expected to update the status of COVID-19 outbreaks today.

Public health last reported 80 active cases throughout the region.

Outbreaks are still listed as active on the HPPH website at Caressant Care Retirement and Long Term Care in Listowel and Seaforth Manor Retirement and Nursing Home.

In an update posted by Caressant Care last week, all staff at the Listowel site were to be tested February 3rd for both the nursing home and retirement home.

Hillside Manor in Perth East and Fordiwch Village are also following outbreak protocols.

And an outbreak at St. Marys Memorial Hospital's inpatient until includes two patients and four staff.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
