One of the Grey-Bruce COVID-19 Assessment Centres will have reduced hours for the upcoming Family Day holiday.
The COVID-19 Assessment Centre at the Hanover and District Hospital will run with reduced hours on Monday, February 15th, with regular hours resuming on Tuesday the 16th. Typically the Hanover assessment centre has hours of 12 p.m. until 6 p.m., but on Family day the centre will close at 4 p.m. All the other COVID-19 assessment centres in Grey-Bruce will have regular hours on Family Day.
Testing is available at assessment centres for anyone with the following criteria:
-All people with at least one symptom of COVID-19, even if mild -You have been identified as a close contact of a known COVID-19 case by a Public Health unit, or through the COVID-19 app -You work in a facility where these is an outbreak as identified by a Public Health Unit -You have been referred for testing by public health for other reasons (e.g. travel, school etc.) -Those requiring COVID-19 testing in order to visit a long-term care home, prior to surgery, or require testing for any other reason
You can use the provincial self-assessment tool to gauge whether or not you should go and receive a COVID-19 test here: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/. If you are very ill, go to the nearest emergency department or call 911 in extreme cases.
