New COVID cases up 15, recoveries up 14

Lambton Public Health reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 48 hours.

There was no data surveillance update on Family Day Monday.

The health unit in its daily update Tuesday, said there's been 1,961 confirmed cases of the virus since the end of March.

The number of resolved cases is up by 14 to 1,831, increasing the active case count by one to 85.

There's nine active workplace and institutional outbreaks.

Since an outbreak was declared at Sarnia Jail on February 7, four staff members and 34 inmates have tested positive for the virus.

Bluewater Health has two positive patients in hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
