Public Health reports few new COVID-19 cases in Huron Perth and Wellington

Public Health officials reported just one new case of COVID-19 in Huron Perth and one in Wellington County on Wednesday.

Huron Perth Public Health reported 30 actives cases, and one person is in hospital.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public health reported 23 active cases in Wellington County, and no hospitalizations.

There are no new outbreaks or fatalities in Huron Perth or Wellington.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
