Midwestern Ontario COVID-19 situation on Tuesday

Public health officials in Huron Perth and Wellington Counties confirmed zero new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

On Tuesday, Huron Perth Public Health said it referred nine cases to other health units where the patients live. There are 19 active cases. Three people are in hospital. There have been 49 fatalities. The status of active outbreaks is unchanged today.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public health reported 15 active cases in wellington along with one hospitalization. There have been 32 fatalities. A new outbreak was added at J.D. Hogarth School in Fergus. Two long term care outbreaks continue in Wellington.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added three new cases of COVID-19 to the confirmed list Tuesday, two in Owen Sound and one in Hanover.  There are 15 active cases and three hospitalizations. There are no outbreaks, and the death toll is unchanged at one.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
