Local health unit sends cryogenic freezer for vaccine storage to Windsor-Essex County Health Unit

The Grey Bruce Health Unit has enabled a cryogenic freezer, donated by Chapman's Ice Cream, to be forwarded to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.

The freezer provides cold storage at -70 degrees Celsius, and will be used in Windsor-Essex for their use in storing the COVID-19 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Due to support provided by local businesses, the Grey Bruce Health Unit says it was in a positive position to provide the freezer to an area in high need.
