Sarnia-Lambton's confirmed COVID caseload increases by 19

In its daily update Friday morning Lambton Public Health reported 19 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton, for a total of 2,878 since the pandemic began.

A total of 133 cases have screened positive for a Variant of Concern.

The local health unit reported 21 more cases deemed resolved up to 2,652, dropping the number of active infections by two to 176.

The death toll is unchanged at 50 and the number of active outbreaks remains at 12.

There were seven COVID-positive patients reported in hospital Thursday at Bluewater Health.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
