LPH reports eight new COVID cases, 15 recoveries

Lambton Public Health reported a single digit increase in new COVID-19 cases Monday.

In its daily update, the local health unit reported eight new infections, up to 2,939 over the last year.

There's been 15 more cases deemed as resolved for a total of 2,708, lowering the number of active cases by seven to 181.

There are 11 school, workplace and institutional outbreaks, unchanged since Sunday.

Bluewater Health has five COVID-positive patients in hospital, down three in the last 24 hours.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
