People more likely to be impacted by wildfire smoke, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should avoid strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

<p>Huron Perth Public Health added eight new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, but referred one to another health unit. There were four new cases in Stratford, three in St. Marys and one in South Huron. There are now 27 active cases. 25 variants of concern have now been identified in the region. One person is in hospital.</p><p>
Wellington Dufferin Guelph added 45 new cases, six of them in Wellington. There are 50 active cases in Wellington. There are six active cases in Wellington North, two in Minto and one in Mapleton.</p>
