COVID-19 cases climb in Midwestern Ontario Friday

Huron Perth Public Health reported 34 active cases of COVID-19, after adding another 10 cases Friday.  25 variants of concern have been detected in Huron Perth.  One person is in hospital fighting the virus

Public Health officials in Wellington county added sixteen new cases Friday, and reported 59 active cases.  Across Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health, there were 87 new cases Friday. There are 441 active cases, and five hospitalizations.  Four people are in the ICU.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added eight new cases of COVID Friday, and reported 78 active cases, of which 19 are variants of concern.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
