Huron Perth resident succumbs to COVID-19

Huron Perth Public health is reporting another fatality due to COVID-19. There have now been 52 deaths connected to the virus. There are 44 active cases, after just one new case was confirmed in the past 24 hours, in Stratford. No one is in hospital.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added 17 new cases today, and have reported 590 active cases. Eight people are in hospital, and seven in the Intensive Care Unit. There are nine community outbreaks. Six of the new cases were added in Wellington County where there are 91 active cases. There are seven active cases in Wellington North, five in Minto, and three in Mapleton.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
