Just one new COVID infection, active cases below 100

Lambton Public Health reported just one new COVID-19 infection Monday and the active case count dipped below 100.

The health unit said there's been 3,120 confirmed cases in Sarnia-Lambton since the pandemic began. Of those, 2,967 are considered resolved, an increase of 10 and the number of active infections has dropped by nine to 99.

There was still just one active outbreak at an unnamed workplace, unchanged since Sunday.

Bluewater Health had six COVID-positive patients in hospital.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
