More charges laid against driver after fatal crash on Longwoods Road

A 19-year-old Dresden woman is facing more charges after a crash on Longwoods Road earlier this month that claimed the life of another 19-year-old woman.

Chatham-Kent police said Arielle Wall was initially charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death after the crash on April 12, 2021.

She was later released pending a future court date.

Police said the Traffic Management Unit continued to investigate the cause of the collision and have since charged Wall with four more offences: operation of a motor vehicle while impaired (over 80) causing death, dangerous driving causing death, stunt driving, and speeding.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
